China was a trip... literally. Head trip. Body trip. My gall bladder is still a little uncertain of itself. Grease city up way up in Harbin. A cold, greasy city it is. Twas' lovely. Even though it has been quite a while, here is a bit of a rundown.
FRIDAY: MARCH 2. 2012.
Run with the things known. Not the hypotheses of others. Runaway to stay present. Runaway and never look back.
SATURDAY: MARCH 3. 2012.
Rest is not always restful. Find rest in the margins. The LORD is omnipresent. HE is always there. HIS rest and peace are always there. We need to seek the rest and peace that exist outside the tangible and/or reasonable approach. HE always exists. HE is always there. He is always available.
That's all for now.

I figured I would just go along with a theme of sharing past thoughts from the countries that I personally made it to but you might have missed. No one knows how to describe what a true Malaysian really is, but between me and you, who really knows how to define what a true American is either. So... here are some things that I wrote to me while in the up and coming nation of Malaysia.
TUESDAY: FEBRUARY 7. 2012.
I've seen alot. Experienced mucho, but that doesn't mean I know it all. Learn from others in the most unique ways. Hear people out when they present ideas that you are not necessarily on board with from the beginning. You may have your boat rocked. You may get sea sick later. Take in the nutrients. Discard the waste.
No opinion matters more than the truth. Opinions must align with the truth of the Word of God, Yahweh. The Way. The Truth. The Life. No man gets to the Father except through the Son. Red-Letter Edition. Get it while the bath water it still hot. I know of a washing as white as snow.
FRIDAY: FEBRUARY 10. 2012.
Bring structure to willingness. Create something unique. Fun. Dedication to the declaration of promise and truth.
SATURDAY: FEBRUARY 11. 2012.
"Your love endures... it will never fade away." I'll never fully deserve it. But... You never abandon me or waiver at Your post as the Lover of my soul.
SUNDAY: FEBRUARY 12. 2012.
Hindsight: (Insight to some arrogance.) Private reservations canceled for Mr. Arrogance on the account of showing up late. All due to the parade he threw for himself going longer than expected. But, he did give one heck of a speech at the end.
WEDNESDAY: FEBRUARY 15. 2012.
Dedication sees intimacy in a way that I do not. Not yet. My imperfect vision has been groggy for way too long. Fog comes in the early stages of morning. Time to move past the fog into the later stages of day. Light.
FRIDAY: FEBRUARY 17. 2012.
Reputation has nothing to do with who we are at the core level. But... it is a reflection of the fruit of our core. Look, search for the truth in reputation. Never simply take it as truth and/or definitive argument.
SATURDAY: FEBRUARY 25. 2012.
B.U.M. = Basic Understood Movement.
The base for everything we know rests in everything we have experienced in the past. So, we develop a basic understanding on what movement means. Then, when God shows up and describes for us a culture and environment that we have not experienced before. We assume it is either not for us, or it is impossible to operate in that environment. Mainly because our base, our foundation, of all thought and process is what has been offered to us by a less than perfect world in our past.
Stepping beyond the a less than perfect exterior in a less than perfect exterior into perfection completed. Completed; past tense.
This is circle I run around and with, and, the things I think about.

Teleportation may be a stretch, but from where I sit, it fits. I sit in L'viv, Ukraine. I'm not quite sure how I got here from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It feels a bit like I fell into a well. A deep, deep, well, and I sunk all the way to the bottom. I hung out down there for a while. Reflectionism: OverAndUnderWellmed. This is what people think about at the bottoms of Cambodian wells....
SUNDAY: JANUARY 29. 2012.
The Lord has people and places on His radar long before we show up there. He has always been present there but that doesn't necessarily mean the His manifest presence is there. That is our part. Our opportunity for Yahweh to work in the natural AKA the dimension of what we see, we feel, and think we know about.
MONDAY: JANUARY 30. 2012.
Sarcasm is insincerity in a shiny package. Sarcasm is a tool used on the train that has been on the track for people to reach that little place I like to call, Rejected.
Yes be yes... maybe. No be no.
TUESDAY: JANUARY 31. 2012.
There is an Answer in the Solution. But, if the Solution produces a problem, the Solution still happens to be the Answer. The Solution has eyes that I have not seen quite yet.
WEDNESDAY: FEBRUARY 1. 2012.
Back to the basics of comfort. Surreal Phnom-enom.
THURSDAY: FEBRUARY 2. 2012.
Insecurity is Anti-Christ. Christ secures and is our security. Everything else counters that. Anything outside of security in who we are in Christ is not of Christ. Anti-Christ.
The burden we carry is light. We need to lift the Father up in all situations.
FRIDAY: FEBRUARY 3. 2012.
Rest from the rest.
The Ramp School of Ministry. Hamilton, Alabama. $3500. Nine months. Schedule of course(s). Applicated Deadline August 5.
Hindsight: B(e)fast two times. Bible times with Tommy. Operation take Bourbon St. off the top shelf has vision clear to the ocean. Support. Build. Encourage. Love. Prophesy.
(FROM THE VERY BOTTOM OF EVERYTHING)

Alright party peoples,
I know I don't frequent the pages of this blog often but I have something big to announce... drums rolls por favor...
I'M pledged to be FULLY FUNDED!!!
So, this particular post happens to be for a few reasons. One of those reasons is a formal Thank you note to all who have supported me along the way so far. Thank you!! Support via prayer, encouragement, and even financial donations are still accepted in my account to cover other miscellaneous costs. The other really big reason I happen to be writing this is to make a formal request to everyone who is looking to plant some seeds in some pretty decent soil. I have personally, along with your help, made it on the I'm Fully Funded bus, but at the moment, that bus has a few seats still empty. Some of the people on my squad haven't quite made it there. Some have a couple thousand dollars left to be raised in the next 3 or so days. To be straight forward, I would really love to see everyone make to the end of the Race. And... I would love to spend the remaining 5 months with these awesome people that I have learned to know and love. So, I would love for every single person who reads this to consider blessing the pants off of these people that I am now personally vouching for.
And the nominees for Most Supportable Racer are:
(click on their names to go to their blog page)
Jessica Walton

Joshua Robinson

Rachel Rittman

Jenny Meunier

Crystal Abold (sorry couldn't really find a picture of her, here is one from her)

Carl Prox

Kayla House

Each one of these wonderful individuals has so much left to offer, whether here or at home. If you want to see them stay here, click on their names. It will take you to their blog, browse around, read up about who they are and what they have been going through and what they have learned so far. Then, if you feel led to support them, find that Support Me tab on the left hand side of the page and give it a click. Let your light shine through them.
Support up a storm! The tabs are open now. Every bit counts. Everyone has a story, be a part of theirs, you won't regret it, I promise.
Love you all,
Kevin

Manistry!! M.I.D. month!! Whatevs you soever would want to call the month of just us men!!!
There are things that have been happening over the last few months of my life that I would have never expected to happen. Period. There are definitely things that I have never imagined I would experience on Christmas Day. I live on a farm in rural Thailand with 12 other men and a beautiful Thai family(shout out to Arun, Pbeng, Ma, Pa, Big, and Aim the spy, shh about that last one). There are goats, chickens, ducks, a pit bull that chews on cinderblocks for breakfast (literally), and another dog that sleeps all day and runs around all night impregnating the female dogs in the area (also, literally). I sleep on a platform roughly ten feet off the ground overlooking sets of tapioca fields and surrounded by mountains in the distance on every side. Big, our translator, told me that my biggest threats in animal kingdom are king cobras (mainly, during the rainy season aka not this season, Thank You Jesus!) and wild elephants (big nuisances, apparently). It's pretty hot all year round (no snow fo sho).
These elements are different and something that I have really had to adjust to, but they made for a Christmas that I don't think I will forget easily. The whole day would be hard to explain in words. Hopefully a highlight reel will do for now... climbing trees to hang decorations for the Christmas party... fried banana flowers and orange Fanta..... Cameron playing his guitar and Tommy and I ad-libbing about the Big D (aka diarrhea) and all the states of America in alphabetical order to a group of Thai men that spoke no English whatsoever.... singing like 15 Christmas Carols in 7 minutes with all the guys.... giving away our favourite item of clothing to one of the locals... being able to share the love that God has placed within us with the people in this community.
It was a really awesome day! I'm proud that I was here and apart of it.

I don't know much about the great country of Canada. I don't actually even know if Canada is that great(?), to be honest. I do know one thing though. They have played some solid ice hockey in their day. And if I’ve learned anything from the good ol’ Mighty Ducks, it’s that a line change is never a bad choice and the triple deke is going to get things done.
In some way, shape, or form in my mind, this relates to the fact that Lucas and Sarah have left and Mike, Dre, and I are now the business. On paper this seems so intimidating... En reliadad, es no intimidante. Here is the deal, ladies and gents. I have not been given a spirit of timidity. What I have been given is a spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind.
I'm new each morning.
I've got this.
We've got this.
God's got this.
Amen.

Nutcracker on ice?
What does that mean?
Little Christmas village?
People standing
outside stores with cars
passing.
Nirvana.
In too deep
just let go of the bridge.
What if...
Mother can't
handle it.
Some think she can.
Tough lady. That woman...
may be a tough woman.
Sunday's sundress
spies spots so sultry.
Sign.
A sign. I think not!
"Satisfactory at best" whined
my ladder half.
Brutal news on the home
front porch of mine.
Mindless
mental notes feed
my nocturnal nouns and settings.
Dainty dialogue turns
turny dirt to shame.
Tongues twist
tattled tales of more.
The tiniest torture
chamber
to the table tops of time.
Test out.... before
we move to the next level.
Streams buffering
in the zone...
in the paint.
Two (maybe)
Three
Save your shirts for the safe days at the rodeo show.

Things have changed... Changed big. Big change.
I am not sure I even know where to start. Maybe we can start with the present tense for me.
So... I am currently in Manila on the Fifth of November. Some of my squadmates are sitting in the next room watching V for Vendetta in a state of remembrence. P.S. Manila = the capital of the Phillipines. Andrea Garcia, Michael Desmond, and I have been called up into the position of Squad Leaders. We will be spending the next six weeks in the Phillipines. Those are the facts. Here is where I may be able to fill in the rest.
Someone somewhere once said that life is all about perspective. I never fully understood what that exactly meant. Then, there was last month. I watched as one morning God reached into my life, strangled my old perspective, and molded me a new one all in an instant. Pretty much, God pulled the ol' switcharoo and handcrafted me a new way to look into my every day experience. In one translation of the Bible in Ephesians 2, it says "For we are His workmanship" (meaning God's). In another it says that "we are God's masterpiece".
Some of what I just said has everything to do with where I sit now. I sit at a table in a posture that must be humility in order to be pure. Knowing that whatever comes next is protected by what is being perfected in me. A "new" perspective imparted through the touch of a loving Father that brings dead things to life.
Amen.
